We are a reputable breeder of purebred Labradors (stocky, blocky, large heads) for service, family, field and specialty show. We are determined to stay a small private breeder so that each and every puppy can receive the utmost attention. We have 1 or 2 litters every few years and that is only to continue the bloodline here at Overlook. Our breeding program strictly follows the guidelines of the National Labrador Retriever Club’s ethical standards of breeding. All of our Labradors have the sweet, teachable temperaments, which have endeared the breed to so many of us throughout the years. We are proud to have had many of our puppies enter the search and rescue forces all over the eastern states, including roles as drug detection dogs for police officers and seeing eye dogs for the blind. Some have gone on to be master hunting dogs. While others yet are amazing family dogs. Although our dogs are gorgeous in appearance, the most important thing is temperament. Almost ALL of our dogs are closely line bred to maintain Overlook traits and if a dog does not pass ALL of his or her health tests and have flawless temperament he or she does not enter the breeding program. Bottom line! We are best known for the stunning good looks of our Labradors, with lots of bone, substance, movement, block heads, thick coats, and of course the “otter tail”.Thank you.
