Ingredients

  • 1 can sardines in water (bones and skin included)
  • 1½ cups rolled oats
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp kelp powder (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cold‑pressed olive oil or flaxseed oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 °F. Line a small pan with parchment.
  2. Mash sardines.
  3. Mix in parsley, oats, egg, oil and kelp.
  4. Press mixture into pan.
  5. Bake 25 min until set and golden at edges.
  6. Cool completely; cut into bars or cubes.
  7. Store refrigerated 5 days, or freeze up to 3 months.
